During the 70s, 80s and beginning of the 90s, Oscar Bernardi - the owner and founder of the complex - had a very successful career as a soccer player and coach. After he retired he was ready to build up a project where kids and teenagers from all over the world would have the chance to live their dreams and, perhaps one day, be able to become professional soccer players, a goal that many will dream but very few will accomplish.
In his professional career, Oscar played for the Brazilian National Team in three World Cups being the captain of the 1982 squad, which is still considered by many as one of the top Brazilian National Team of all times. Besides the National Team, Oscar also played for Sao Paulo F.C., Ponte Preta de Campinas, Yokohama Marinos and New York Cosmos. As a coach, Oscar coached several top teams in Brazil and abroad, including Cruzeiro E.C., Al-lttihad, Al-shabab and Al-Hilal. He conquered many titles as a player and as a coach as well. Nowadays, he is still considered by many as one of the best brazilian defenders that ever played for the national team.
