Challenging play against World Renowned players: In the past 10 years, professional teams from all over Brazil have traveled to Rio de Janeiro to compete in tournaments sanctioned by the Rio de Janeiro Soccer Federation. Players such as Adriano (Internacionali de Milao), Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Lucas (Liverpool), Anderson (Man United), Rafael Sobis (Betis) and many other have competed in the Copa Rio de Janeiro Sub 17.
Admittance by Invitation Only: Youth professional teams are selected for invitation based on their competitive past performance. Be one of the few International Clubs to take part in this outstanding tournament in 2010.
In the opening round, teams are bracketed into groups of 6 and are guaranteed a minimum of five games. Group winners, second places and 4 best third places advance to the elimination stage of the tournament. "Friendly Games" will be organized in the latter part of the week for those teams that do not advance to the elimination stage giving teams the opportunity to play five matches (weather permitting) while in Brazil.
All games are played on grass fields in the state of Rio de Janeiro, all within easy driving distance of Rio de Janeiro. The Opening Ceremonies, Super Group feature games, and all finals will be held in a stadium venue. Trophies and medals are awarded to all finalists and souvenirs to all competitors. Copa Rio de Janeiro is sanctioned by Rio de Janeiro Soccer Federation.

A detailed package will be sent to you. Only FOUR International Teams can register for the 2010 Copa Rio de Janeiro Sub 17.
Registration through TetraBrazil: Application will not be accepted from International teams after Feb. 1, 2010, however the Copa Rio de Janeiro Sub 17 reserves the right to close any of the age groups at any time prior to Feb 1, 2010 should the Selection Committee deem it appropriate.
